____________

Everywhere I'm turning
Nothing seems complete
I stand up and I'm searching
For the better part of me
I hang my head from sorrow
Slave to humanity
I wear it on my shoulders
Gotta find the strength in me

Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am
Yes she is
Even when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman

For all the mothers fighting
For better days to come

And all my women, all my women sitting here trying
To come home before the sun
And all my sisters
Coming together
Say yes I will
Yes I can

Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am
Yes she is
Even when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman

When I'm breaking down
And I can't be found
And I start to get weak
Cause no one knows
Me underneath these clothes

But I can fly
We can fly, Oooohh

Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am
Yes she is
Even when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman

One dress.
Two baptisms,
two weddings,
one birthday party,
one Christmas.
one dress.

Its not that I don't have anything else to wear, but it seems like when I wear this, really happy moments occur. I think that's why I'm drawn to this dress that I once found in the clearance rack. It doesn't matter, does it? when I wear it, I feel so festive.

FOREVER is such an intangible word.

For days and nights, I have been racking my brain for this assignment forever (pun intended) and I realized, forever is right under my nose.

In a world where change is constant, where forever lies unknown,
she will forever be a reminder of our love for each other.

She will forever be his and mine.

"The Kiss" from The Gustav Klimt Lladro collection, on my wishlist forever. I just found out that they retired it, and it now costs $14,500. sigh.

I've realized that a lot of things happen and it really depends on how you handle your reaction . I've been sleepless, distraught, bitched, cursed, kicked and screamed, yet it does not take away the fact that

I have been publicly insulted,
and
there is nothing I can do about it, the cat's out of the bag.

I think I have every reason to be upset. Some people just seem to have the same frame of mind as I a normal wife have.

Some, apparrently, don't. Can't control that.

I dont know if you've heard, California had been rocked so weirdly by mother nature as of late.
We had hail, snow, flash floods and twin twisters in a day.

While it is supposed to be the beginning of summer, I am bundled in my thick sweater, socks and the comforters are back on the sack.

buang no?

Despite the grey skies today, despite the ugliness around me
this little rose in the bush did not hesitate to say hello.

amazingly,
I took just one snap and it turned out perfect.
It' s the first time I've used my macro option and since I have a pretty shaky hand
(I blame it on my daily cafe mochas)  I was pretty happy with the turnout.

I forgot to tell you guys that I'm a big  FOO -head.

I actually got the KROQ email about the March shows back in December and I was totally crushed when Maynard did not really care for them... so I did not get the tickets and sulked for three months.

Fast forward March 4 2008- My co worker Jon tells me his friend Chris is not coming and I covet the precious ticket for $45 bucks!! im grateful he did not charge me more than that. I WAS SO THRILLED and sad at the same time that Maynard didn't really want to watch them with me.

Dave Grohl is an AWESOME frontman. "SHUT THE F***K UP!!" was his first word of the night, and made us all laugh. No matter how he yells and screams his lungs out, the acoustic set blew me away and I felt like crying (LOL i always cry) and he still sounded so good.  The set design was great, the lighting was perfect. He had two stages- one for the acoustic set that came down from the ceiling, a long catwalk where he traipsed with five different guitars (wireless!)

The night was beautiful. Although I watched at the far mezzanine we weren't really left out, his sheer energy is infectious and got the whole Forum going til midnight. It must have sucked for those fainting in the moshpit. It was probably the longest Foo Fighters concert (per Dave Grohl)

Against Me! and Serj Tankian opened for them by the way. That itself was a big bonus!

I wish I brought my fricking camera with me. With us getting frisked at the gates I was surprised at how many people were snapping away and taking pictures.

So I just borrowed these photos from the official Foo Fighters website. And wished I had a camera phone.

PS: OH YES HE SANG EVERLONG.  Why wouldnt he?

Trini is now doing really good, (although clingy and weepy at times wanting to be babied) and will be back to school tomorrow.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Hi friends!

Please include Trini in your prayers, she will be undergoing a minor surgery at 6:15 am tomorrow (california time)  for her adenoidectomy

Thank you so much!
We will update you guys on how she's doing.

Fil & Maynard

Last night, while eating dinner, Trini suddenly complained of her burning rash. She's covered in (what we thought was) hives. She started scratching her ears, her arms, fingers. I said we better take her to the nearest KP Urgi-Center. I was quite confident about her being doubly covered, but nothing could have prepared me for this night.

the ER is packed.

Around 11 pm we checked in at window two. We sat and waited. I kept Trini preoccupied with a DS game, I had my book and iPod, and Maynard sat beside me also with his earphones on.

We sat and sat. And I fell asleep. Trini was also asleep. People kept coming and going, frustrated and irate, some had been taken in.

Finally, Maynard gets up and asks the nurse:

"How long will it take for us to be seen?"
she replied, "About an hour or two".

What?! and we've been sitting two hours already?

We left.

This is JUST RIDICULOUS. Someone has to die first?

____

UPDATE:

Trini developed an allergic reaction to her sinus medication. All is well and she's a happy camper. We brought her to my facility, where we were promptly taken care of.

this really worries me, especially that I've seen Michael Moore's "SICKO". yaiks gyud.

Thank you Aileen Siroy, for this great honor.

Honestly, I just write my thoughts off the fly. And to receive such award from you, whom I draw inspiration from (and look up to) I AM SIMPLY FLOORED and SPEECHLESS.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I start my three days off today. I dont know if I have mentioned, I'm going back to working three days a week now (sob sob) temporarily.

So today we were to go to Sia Furler's album launching in Amoeba Records in LA, only it's tomorrow.

I felt doubly guilty since Maynard and I had an argument about the date. He took the rest of the day off and swapped times with a co-worker (basta kiat lagi ba! unahon gyud!) So I had to make a really good dinner (Chicken Farfalle ala Ayen-dug through Tiris's site for the recipe) to make up for my boo boo. hahaha

And yeah....I spent more than three hours reading the same thing on Heath Ledger. Sigh.

he just wanted to get some sleep.

im sitting here in front of my mac in my pink plush robe and pajamas.

Two  hours ago I was being a mom yelling at her almost late daughter. Why do they move in slow motion?

I had my breakfast of polish sausage and rice, and the husband made me coffee. I had them while watching the latest Keynote by Steve Jobs, and I gasped as he took out the thinnest laptop on earth, out of an envelope.

Sure I want one of those too. But I'll spend bucks on a 1 TB Apple Extreme Hard Drive. Im sure it will get better.

I have to go to the gym now. Gotta work out before bathingsuit season comes!

I've been thinking a lot about Parson Brown. I wondered who he was and nobody knew why Parson Brown was mentioned in one of our popular Christmas songs:

In the meadow we can build a snowman
and pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say "are you married?"
we'll say "No, man"
But you can do the job when you're in town

you see Parson means MINISTER, (PROTESTANT MINISTER) lol and that's why they'll pretend to get married in front of the snowman.
wala lang. nalingaw ra ko.

I have passed by the Abercrombie and Fitch at The Grove in LA and I see this piece of meat hanging about in the store front. I realized it wasn't only there, they had them hanging about in ALL of the A&F stores. Great washboard abs so hard you can grate parmegiano on them LOL.

"Good evening", he said to me, and I had to suppress my laughter.
Perfect tan on winter, and half naked. I could not resist ( - no, of course, I did not touch him as other women and pseudo women did, "just to see if they were real" )
so the husband and I schemed to snake a few snapshots for your viewing pleasure:

If this is their marketing bait, Im sorry, it made me look,  but not buy. First off, I am too cheap to buy anything from that store. IF ever I do own pieces from them, it would be from the ukay ukay, or the surplus shops in SM CITY in Manila. Secondly, almost every other tween I see is wearing A&F, and thirdly, I HATE THAT GOSH awful music they have. I remember going inside the store and it had a bad disco remix of a-ha's  "Take On Me". It was too dark and all I can see are the same clothes in all three levels.

but-- I give them props for the piece of meat hanging in the store front  still. HAHAHAH
